YAY tysm for commenting! I always like to include story elements that are beyond the control/comprehension of readers and characters alike. Even as the writer, i am unsure of what exactly the falcon is, but the one thing i kept in mind when writing it was that it is impossible to understand what the falcon wants, and trying to understand it can only make the situation worse (Meredith’s experience being the prime example). Perhaps this figure will show up in my future stories if i find a use for him.
i think that’s such a cool approach. including an uncontrolled variable into your story and letting it tell you who/what it is rather than the other way around. for me, it really leans into that feeling of mystery and suspense because even the narrator can’t help you make sense so the reader is left reeling for answers. i think it’s so dope!! i’m looking forward to see what pops in next! fingers crossed it’s the falcon XD
thank youu i would have loved to expand on it but then it would’ve been less flash fiction and more of a short story 😭 maybe i’ll flesh it out more eventually!!
thank you for the encouragement :) i do think it would be really fun to have some characters/storylines reappear in the following weeks after the original is published 🌚
I’m fuming
I was writing a long detailed comment and with no prior warning my phone died ( it did warn me but well)
I had to sit and anxiously wait for it to regain consciousness so I can see if it saved my comment somehow magically
I wasn’t lucky enough for my comment to be saved
But I was lucky enough to read this
I will summarize my now lost comment by stating the obvious
I LOVE THIS
darn that sucks but i appreciate the summary nonetheless 🫡 thank you for reading :))
omg i'm excited for chapter two
i wasn’t even planning on making more with these characters but multiple people have told me they want it so who knows 😭
YOUD BETTER DO IT COOPER
just playing whichever way you choose to go i'm sure you'll make something good, youve got it in your bones
Thanks for having so much faith in my writing lol, i’ll try and deliver 🫡
wow that was unsettling hahahaha loved it
i’m glad you were unsettled! (politely)
this was so enticing, i loved reading it
ehehehe yay im glad
this was delightfully unsettling. and to have the falcon almost seem to be mocking her?? i love it

i’m glad the creepiness landed for you !! it always feels like a gamble sending a spooky story into the void
thanks luca 🌞 and that’s exactly the style i was going for… kind of an eerie mix between real/unreal
